D , &lt;/i&gt;Foundations of Distance Education&lt;i style=""&gt;) &lt;/i&gt;e penso que não posso deixar de conhecer/saber como se desenvolveu a definição do termo &lt;b style=""&gt;Ensino a Distância&lt;/b&gt;, qual a terminologia inicialmente utilizada e que controvérsias demonstravam. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;Não é possível ignorar as razões do porquê de Ensino a Distância não ser designado de outro modo, como por exemplo:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:78%;" &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;Ensino por correspondência ou estudo por correspondência&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Symbol;font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;        &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;“&lt;i style=""&gt;Home Study”&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; (termo utilizado no Estados Unidos, limitado apenas aos estudos das chamadas Escolas Técnico-Profissionais);&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Symbol;font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;“Independent Study” &lt;/b&gt;(termo utilizado nos Estados Unidos apenas direccionado para o Ensino Superior);&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;“External Studies” &lt;/b&gt;(ensino que é considerado externo mas não separado da Instituição ou do “faculty staff” - Austrália)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-GB"&gt;“Distance Teaching “&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:78%;" lang="EN-GB" &gt;ou &lt;b style=""&gt;“Teaching at a Distance” &lt;/b&gt;(Moore 1973: 669)&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-GB"&gt;“Distance Learning” &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:78%;" lang="EN-GB" &gt;ou &lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;“ Learnig at a Distance”:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 90pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -36pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-GB"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;                &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;- &lt;/b&gt;ênfase no papel do aluno no processo de ensino- aprendizagem (1990);&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 90pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -36pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;                 &lt;/span&gt;-&lt;/b&gt; Nos Estados Unidos estava intimamente relacionado com o ensino através da utilização de tecnologias electrónicas (Portway and Lane (1994);&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;Ensino a Distância não podia ser inferido como um ensino apenas centrado em um só elemento (aluno- professor- novas tecnologias) e devido a tal surgiu então o termo &lt;b style=""&gt;Ensino a Distância&lt;/b&gt;. Sobre o seu significado debruçaram-se teoristas como Dohmen, Peters, M. Moore,...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;Com base nas definições apresentadas &lt;b style=""&gt;Keegan&lt;/b&gt; publica em 1980 o &lt;i style=""&gt;“On defining distance education”&lt;/i&gt; no qual propunha seis elementos básicos e importantes para a definição de &lt;b style=""&gt;Educação a Distância&lt;/b&gt; (que considero importantes para um melhor entendimento de todos os passos que mais tarde levaram ao conjunto de elementos que se inserem na Educação a Distância):&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;A separação entre professor e aluno que difere e distingue do ensino e interacção face a face;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;A influência de uma organização educacional que a distingue do estudo privado;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;Utilização de “technical media”, para que o professor possa comunicar e transmitir os conteúdos educacionais ao aluno.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;“Two-way communication” – o aluno pode começar ou beneficiar de um diálogo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
